The Manitoba Gambling Research Program supports the development of high quality research that enables the evidence-based advancement of responsible gambling programs, and problem gambling prevention and treatment. Note: Information available on this page does not provide details of all gaming machine societies. Only those gaming machine societies that invite grant applications from the public are listed. Clubs operating gaming machines generally do not make grants to the public. Instead, they use gaming machine funds for club purposes which are Authorised Purposes under the Gambling Act 2003.

Glossary of Terms
Societies: These are the organisations that own and operate gaming machines and make grants to non-profit community organisations.Venues: Formerly 'Sites', these are the pubs and other venues where gaming machines are located. They do not own the machines and must not be involved in decisions about who can apply for grants, who receives them or how much the grant should be.
Authorised Purposes: These are the purposes for which societies can make grants. Different societies have different authorised purposes, but all must benefit the community. You can find out about each society’s authorised purposes by clicking on a region on the map below. More information about Authorised Purposes.

Gambling Community Benefit Fund Grant
Grants - Open grants, QLD Grants
The Gambling Community Benefit Fund Grant has multiple funding rounds each year. The closing date for the rounds is 30th of October.
The funding limit is between $500 and $35,000.
Grant overview:
The objective of the Gambling Community Benefit Fund is to allocate funding to not-for-profit community groups to help them provide services, leisure activities and opportunities for Queensland communities.
Before registering and applying for the Gambling Community Benefit Fund grant, you should understand the responsibilities and expectations of eligible organisations.
Because, this will help you submit a valid application and understand the chances of a positive outcome.
Gambling Funding Grants Pass
For your organisation to be eligible for the Gambling Community Benefit Fund, it must meet the requirements of either a legal entity or a sponsored entity.
Legal entity:

- is incorporated or registered under an Act of Parliament
- It should have the following:
- an active ABN
- not-for-profit objectives
- a bank account in the name of the legal entity
- must provide abank verification formstamped by the organisation’s financial institute.
Gambling Funding Grants 2020
Sponsored entity:
- is unincorporated and not registered under an Act of Parliament
- has not-for-profit objectives
- maybe a local ambulance committee, rural fire brigade or State Emergency Service group.
We may request other documentation to verify eligibility.
While schools are not eligible, parents and citizens associations (P&Cs) and parents and friends associations (P&Fs) can apply.
